Coast PX100 Scorpion Detecting UV Pocket Light

If you’ve never had the chance to scavenge through the desert in search of scorpions – add it to your bucket list. I learned that with a little patience and the right tools, it’s a ton of fun. The COAST PX100 UV Flashlight turns earth toned scorpions into neon beacons at night, making them fun (and safe) to find! This is definitely a tool to add to the camping toolbox.

It works well. Was able to clearly identify dog urine on carpet and walls. Was a little small. Only works in very dark light.

Compact yet powerful. We did not think it would work for hunting scorpions because of its size, but it lights’em up like the devil’s spawn they are!

Very tiny light shines through so you have to do it very upclose

A little expensive, but, worth the price. It is small yet very bright. Others I have bought, always break or end up having to hit them constantly with my hand to keep lit. I use rechargeable batteries. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.

This is a pretty darn good light. I live in the country and need a scorpion light to detect and kill them. I WAS using a light that had the multiple (9) mini led lights, but it would drain the 3 AAA batteries awful fast, and another main drawback was that the light from that one is dim. This light shines very bright! It only takes one AA battery, which lasts forever. With the other type of light, I was having to change the THREE batteries after about 2 or 3 uses only. I’m using this light night night, when I want to, and, after using it for several weeks, there’s still no need to change that one battery yet. Plus, the light is not only very bright, I can see what I’m aiming at from quite a distance, whereas before I had to shine it up close at objects to view anything. The only minor drawback that I noticed is that the power on button is a little hard to press down fully to activate, but does work fine after pressing it hard. There is an advantage that’s related to that- you can hold it down lightly and it won’t stay on, but it’s like a momentary on that works great for spot shining all over. As I said already, the fact that it’s so bright, with only one battery, which lasts and lasts, and not to mention it’s small and so handy that way, makes this an excellent scorpion light! I’d recommend this one to anybody.

Seems to be a well made, sturdy little light. The even better news is that I don’t have any scorpions.
