Cuisinart 2-Burner 8 in. Cast Iron Stainless Steel Hot Plate with Temperature Control

Looks great, works great… if you have enough time. I got on my way somewhere and realized I had accidentally left it turned on to boil a pot of water. After circling back in a panic, I returned just in time to find that it had not yet started boiling. This was a good 20 minutes. To bring a pot of water to a boil…. almost. This was a pretty good sized pot on the smaller burner (heater). The larger burner works very well. One thing to look out for is that it does not cool down very quickly, so anything that begins to scorch should not be placed on the eye again within maybe 5 minutes of the eye being turned off. I do recommend this product, though I understand that a 3 star rating is not the best.

This little double hot plate has been a life saver! Our stove and oven went on the blink just as the pandemic hit in March–and we still haven’t had our new appliance installed (long story). This little double burner, a convection toaster oven and a microwave have gotten me through. I enjoy cooking adventurous meals so this double hot plate has been used A LOT! Except for rust that has developed on the cast iron elements–and soot flaking off–it’s held up well to hours of daily use. I do wish that there was a model with two full sized burners because the smaller burner is not very powerful. (If I use it, I usually get the pan started on the larger burner first then move it over.) However, that being said, overall this has been an excellent purchase!

We purchased this to cook while our kitchen was getting redone. The burners get hot fast and it has served us well. Able to cook eggs in the morning and boil water quickly. Loved this product. Keep in mind it uses a lot of current. We blew a breaker while using. I would recommend using this on a 20amp kitchen circuit. I highly recommend

Much better than the cheaper brand I was getting in the local dept. store. Stainless steel body with cast iron burners. The large burner is 1500 watts, which heats up fast and hot. Great little stove for my kitchenette!

This double burner is just what I was looking for! I quality piece that performs past expectation.

Our kitchen is torn up because of some repairs and delays with those repairs. We bought this so that we would have something like a range top, and it has worked out well. It does take longer than the stove to heat the food, but that’s to be expected. For this use, it’s perfect.

Bought this for a makeshift kitchen in the basement during our kitchen redo. We’ve had to adjust our expectations a bit, because it’s not as powerful as a cooktop. If you give the burners time to heat up, they’re fine. Keep a lid on the pan on the smaller unit to assist to bring to boil, otherwise it takes quite a while. Nice design and easy to keep clean, and is serving it’s purpose. Will keep it to use for potlucks and cookouts after our redo is complete.

The first one only partially functional, and the replacement has cosmetic scratches. Is a little slow in heating up, but gets there if you’re patient. Handle carefully, scratches easily. My biggest criticism is that the knobs should lock at the off position with a push and turn release. It is nearly impossible to clean without turning those knobs, and I prefer to not unplug the unit as the outlet is hard to reach. I’d pay more for this feature, but for safety reasons, they should all have knobs that require a push to unlock from off.
