Delta Universal Planer Stand

The stand was easy to build and is very sturdy. My ancient planer fit the pre-drilled holes and now I don’t have to struggle to lift and move my planer. The model I received actually has a shelf, which is very handy. No complaints and I can recommend this stand. Thank you Delta.

Universal, almost. It did not have the mounting holes for the model for which it was suggested. Had to drill some holes and get some different bolts to make it work. PIA when you live in the country and have to go back to town to get the parts you need to finish the job. Otherwise it does the job.

Well made stand. Easy to assemble. There are a couple issues that I experienced. 1) The clearance from the floor to the bottom of the stand is very minimal. It is difficult to move over anything taller than a half inch. I purchased this so that I could move this stand/tool combo to the patio from the shed. I built a ramp but it still wouldn’t go up the ramp because the bottom of the stand is so close to the ground. 2) It is a must to have the locking caster under the stand as compared to outside of the frame. It is a tripping hazard to have it on the outside. It’s a serious accident waiting to happen. The problem then becomes being able to raise and lower the caster from under the bottom shelf. I solved this issue by purchasing a 3/8″ – 10″ long bolt along with washers and locking nuts. The picture shows my set up. This was an easy fix. So easy the manufacturing company should change the design. Other than those issues the stand is solid and should last years and years. I still recommend this stand even with “my” issues I experienced. The price is much better at Home Depot as compared to online retailers.

Very High Quality unit ! ! This stand had the highest weight capacity ratings and because I am actually using this for a heavy duty benchtop drill press and am Very Pleased so far ! ! The instructions were very detailed, clear & EASY to follow ! ! Would Highly recommend this stand to anybody ! !

Well designed and built. Easy assembly. I have an older planer, so had to drill base for mounting, no big deal.

This stand was easy to assemble. It is mobile, but provides a steady base when in use.
