DCB1800B 1800-Watt Portable Power Station delivers 1800-Watt continuous and 3600 peak AC power when supplied with four DEWALT 20-Volt MAX batteries, sold separately. DCB1800B is also a multiport battery charger for one to four 20-Volt MAX or 20V/60V MAX FlexVolt batteries. DCB1800B emulates a 15 Amp residential circuit branch delivering the feel of household AC power. Patent Pending modified sine wave is compatible with both standard and electronically controlled variable speed tools. DCB1800B is self-protecting against electronic overload and includes multiple protection features in battery charging. DCB1800B can be used in a variety of applications including jobsite and lifestyle use. It requires no gas to run, emits no engine fumes or noise and can be used in virtually any dry location. Also works with DEWALT FLEXVOLT battery packs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this around 2 to 3 years ago. I mainly used it for powering a heat gun to bend pvc conduit or to power a soldering iron to solder connections for landscape lighting. The powerstation provides enough run time to run a 1400 watt heat gun to make several bends in 1/2 or 3/4″ pvc. Beats running a cord or starting a generator when power isn’t near by.My only gripe….modified sinewave output. I understand it reduces costs to build it this way and the modified sine is ok for just running basic corded tools or fans. It would be nice if they maybe provided an additional 150 or 300 watt pure sinewave inverter on this unit just for running low draw electronics. Then you’d be able to take this camping or tailgating and power some led lights and music with no worry of damaging any electronics.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Fence Contractor, I consistently find myself working on remote areas of customers properties, where it just isn’t feasible to run hundred’s of feet of extension cord to get power. The use of the power station and charger is well worth the cost. Being able to run my 12″ miter saw, 10 table saw, and air compressors of this power station is a huge benefit to my business. Also being able to quickly charge 4 batteries at one shot, allows me to keep working all day with no down time waiting on batteries to charge.
