Excellent value and I think it will last. Certainly not as solid as a true surveying tripod so I wouldn’t use it with a transit. Would be nice if it included a bubble level, maybe I’ll rivet one on some day but I usually have a string level on hand that works just to get it in the neighborhood.

The tripod comes with a 5/8-11 mounting screw and a 1/4-20 mounting adapter that attaches to the 5/8-11 mounting screw. My problem is that the transit that I have is an old one with a 1/2-20 mounting hole (somehow the tripod to it got lost or stolen). I have found an adapter (5/8-11 to 1/2-20), but they are out of stock at the present. Sure wish that they would have included the 1/2-20 as well as the 1/4-20 adapter.At the present I am using in with my laser level which is 1/4-20 on the mounting. The tripod is so easy to put up and take down. Has a strap to tie the legs together and a over the shoulder strap to carry it by.

This is a great heavy duty construction tri-pod. I am so excited to have this tri-pod. I have been borrowing one from a friend for the last big projects that I have worked on. This tri-pod is very sturdy. It is easy to set up and level. The adjustment levers are easy to operate. It has a great shoulder strap for carrying to the job site. All of the instruments that I have around the shop fit on the head, and were easy to use with it. Packaging and instructions were easy to follow and informative. Overall, a really great product.
