Fisch chrome vanadium Imperial 29-piece brad point drill bit set is great for normal drilling operations in soft and hard wood using cordless drills or drill press machines. Optimal drilling speeds vary from 2,000 to 3,000 RPM. This 29-piece set is the perfect place to start when you need a quality drill set that will get the job done and give you years of service. This handy set includes common Imperial (Inch/fractions) sizes from 1/16 in. to in 1/64 in. increments. The drill bits have full diameter shanks on bits that are 3/8 Dia and smaller. The set is housed in a quality plastic stand case that protects your drills and puts them at arms reach when it is time to get to work.

I have found that these bits make very smooth holes and tear up very little (if any) material when they start and end holes. That of course depends also on your abilities, the quality level of your drill and the quality of your wood. I have used these bits on common building lumber, regular plywood, laminate plywood, and on OSB. As yet, I cannot speak to their durability. However, I have drilled several hundred holes with some of the bits and they are still like new. As good as these are, I would still recommend using a backer board for prettier exit holes.

Pretty good bits for the price. The 4 smallest are a little dull as they do not have brad points. I’m not wild about the case they came in as I still can’t figure out if I broke the plastic hasp or if it was supposed to come off. It still closes.
