I like the Greenworks brand for many reasons but being able to charge your trimmer and have it start right up is my favorite. It is light and easy to handle. Being left handed is not so bad with this trimmer.

This trimmer is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my yard. I’ve had it for two years and I’ve kept it outisde since day 1 in rainy Portland, OR. It got used monthly for trims around the front and backyards, or less often for bigger jobs, cutting through huge and dense masses of foliage that had been growing out of control for months. This trimmer has powered through a lot of pretty serious stuff without missing a beat. Its power is always there when you squeeze the handle, and jams are incredibly rare. I’ve gone through one single cartridge of string the entire time I’ve had it.

The trimmer is easy to use, portable, and lightweight. My boyfriend borrowed it for his plants/shrubs and I’m not sure I’m getting this one back.

I have what I call weed gardens and this helped me to clean up and trim those unsightly areas. My husband is not well so this was light enough for him to use without getting tired or hurt. Highly recommend for the strength of the cutting and the lightweightness!

I’ve only used this twice so far but have been pleased both times. Very easy to assemble and operate. Beats having to go buy gas when you can just charge the battery and go on your way. Very convenient and effective.

The one disadvantage is the cost of purchasing additional batteries. If you have a larger yard, the one battery will need to be recharged to finish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Greenworks Tools – 24V CORDLESS 12″ TORQDRIVEâ„¢ STRING TRIMMER W/ 2.0 AH BATTERY and feel its an excellent choice if you are looking for a battery operated (rechargeable) lightweight string trimmer. This was easy to set up and use. I think its great for small to medium sized string trimming jobs. I like that it does not make as much noise or smells as a traditional gas powered string trimmer. I will definitely be using this tool for future yard work jobs I’m doing at home. It works great and is really easy for me in particular to use. I recommend this highly if you want a string trimmer that does not need a cord or gasoline. I love that the battery is rechargeable and that the string trimmer is wireless. Its an excellent tool.

I received my string trimmer as a gift. I have a 1/4 of an acre that I used it on and did the job. I still had battery power left over after the first use and enough to trim again the following time. I would highly recommend this product!
