Husky Comfort Grip Fixed Blade Utility Knife

I’m did a lot of sheetrock cutting along with other things, and I got tired of the blade from my retractable utility knife always sliding back into the slot. The Husky fixed blade works perfectly and made the jobs go much faster. It also comes with a blade protector when not in use.

What a nice little fixed blade utility knife. The first thing I noticed was how light it was. The blade (which there are 2 of ) is a standard two slot, 2 extras can be stored in the handle at one time. The blade end is angled, about 30 degrees at the tip of the knife blade, which has a plastic sheath , Another nice touch is that when you unscrew the tool free dial to change the blade, the dial stays with the handle so you don’t lose it. It even has a lanyard hole. The ergonomic alloy handle is covered with a plastic, non slip, grip. And being it is a Husky it has a lifetime warranty.

I received it well packaged shortly thereafter.The knife fits ergonomically into your hands, left or right. The blade is fixed, so it does not retract. It has a blade guard on it that is removable. Try not to lose it. The body has a turn dial that allows you to unscrew and open it. There is a coin slot in it to make it easier to open. The body will hold two spare blades, which comes with the knife. You have to open to flip the blade around or replace it. The body also includes a hanging hole for you.Good quality. Great construction. Nice colors. A good knife. Served well cutting up the box I received it in. With good care, the knife should last a long time.I rate this knife 5*s out of 5. Light weight, easy to handle and most important it has great grip on the hand. I used to cut rock sheet, cut was perfect.

This is a great knife provided one does not need a retractable blade. It is comfortable to grip and the angle of the blade to the grip part of the handle will make this better for cutting cardboard for the recycle center, which will probably be the main use of this knife. The knife comes with one spare blade stored in the handle. See photo. Access to the spare blade(s) is easy. The package indicated that there is room to store two blades in the handle. This knife uses standard utility knife blades which is an added plus.

If you’re like us and expect packages from online retailers weekly you will surely appreciate this little knife. I love the grip on it and I don’t always feel like I am about to accidentally cut off my finger like I did when using a box cutter.
