This rule is almost ideal. It’s clearly marked with fine graduations in several imperial scales and the bottom end is the zero point for measurements. The only caveat – and it’s not a flaw, it’s just not perfect for many applications – is that it’s very thin; heavier-guage construction would probably last longer. I’ve been using it for a month with no damage but I’m being more careful than I should need to be. All the same, it’s the best I’ve seen so far.
