I use this to make noise to wake me up. I am hard of hearing and the small beep, beep from alarm clocks don’t cut it. I find that the radio reception on the clock is poor and the sound quality is also poor, but it does turn on when needed and plays music loudly to wake me (and the rest of the house) when needed. The USB jack is handy for charging my Kindle. I like the fact that it has a night light which I don’t use and the fact that the numbers on the clock automatically adjust to the light. It is near my face and the numbers dim way down automatically when the room is dark. I would be better if the sound gradually rose. My old iPod device did that but iPods are almost extinct now. I like the auto time set. FPL was working on the lines in our area and for about a week the power would go off for about 20 seconds a few times a day. The auto time set worked great. I have owned it for about one month now. I would recommend this if you are just looking for a decent alarm clock (it beeps as well if needed). If you are looking for a good sound and good reception, don’t get it. I was not looking for that so I am happy with it. Good deal for the price.
