Lodge 12 in. Carbon Steel Skillet in Black

Very good for saute, frying eggs, meats from the grill to oven.

Bought this skillet to take camping and it was perfect, and so much lighter than my normal cast iron.

I’m a pretty strong guy and this pan is deceptively heavy. I still love it but please know that it is extremely heavy.

Holds heat as well as cast iron, but is a bit lighter and easier to care for. Love it!

use it like you would cast iron, from grill, oven, or stovetop it works well. Benefit over cast iron is less iron ingestion for those that have to worry about that.

great pan for outdoor grilling

I was disappointed in the weight. I thought it was suppose to be lighter than an cast iron skillet. I think they feel about the same way. But on the positive side I love the way it cooks.

Despite pre-heating pan before adding oil, heating the oil before adding the the steaks, both the 10 and 12 inch skillets have residual meat debris (carbon) that can’t be cleaned from the surface- even though the steaks turned out great. Skillet surfaces have a very slight “texture”.
