Better Than Competitor. Magic Chef’s Vacuum Sealer with Bag cutter in Real Tree Camouflage not only Looks Cool it Works Great. The on board Bag Cutter is a Big Feature when making your own bags. I really like the different settings and the LED lights to tell what setting your on. The pull out tray makes it easy to clean without the machine opening up. I’ve had another brand for years and it doesn’t have near the Power of this Machine. A must for keeping food from Freezer Burn Longer. Great Price. Great Quality.

I like everything about this vacuum sealer … extremely the woodsy camouflage. Always wanted a sealer and this one does the trick. It comes with two bag sizes which is great, but is also designed to accept roll plastic for making any size bag. I haven’t investigated the roll plastic option yet.But there are very few steps to complete vacuum sealing … wet or dry!

Very easy to use; vacuum seals great. It comes included with small and large bags but I decided to buy the plastic rolls to make my own bags. The instructions were clear and very simple, and I made a bunch of bags in different sizes as I had just bought a bunch of meat from the warehouse club and wanted to freeze most of it. Once I put my steaks and chops in the bags I made, the unit did its magic vacuum sealing. The unit senses when the bag is placed into the sealer and automatically vacuums out the air and heat seals the bag. Without all the air surrounding the meat, it should last longer and resist freezer burn. I’m more confident in buying groceries in bulk now because of this unit. The possibilities seem endless. If you use an extra large roll, you can make your own expandable bags large enough to fit a turkey!

We have been bulk buyer vacuum sealers for years and this vacuum sealer from Magic Chef is as good as any I have ever had.It is taller but has a smaller footprint as the heat sealer/vacuum chamber and the cutter and roll storage area are stacked one over the other.Previous ones I have had one is in front of the other and takes up a bunch of counter space for folks like myself that leave it out and use it nearly every day for something.Most vac sealers have the same features and this has the usual ones I have encountered: Wet and dry options to efficiently seal contents Dual pump for more vacuum power. Bag cutter and storage. Seal-only function also seals normal bags such as a potato chip bag. Removable vacuum chamber for easy cleaning.Buy your meats in bulk or on sale and vac pack them and keep them fresh with no freezer burn ever.(you can also marinate a steak or chicken in 20-30 minutes in a vac bag instead of over night)You can vac pac dried beans and other vegies, really practically anything and your gonna extend its shelf life. Coffee in the huge bags from a warehouse club…divide it up and vac pac it and open the individual bags you made as needed and the last bag will be ad good as the first.I also will make a huge pot of Chili or soup, let it cool and vac pac it away in the freezer in meal size bags and when ready to eat just thaw it bag and all in a pan of hot water or take it out of the bag and thaw in the microwave.I will also do smaller servings for one and then just take one of the bags with you for lunch at the office or anywhere you have access to a microwave or a stove.This model also has the canister option, but that attachment is sold separately and worth every penny.That enables you to vac pac foods in canisters that are sold in the stores as wall as in mason jars.Of course foods that need to be refrigerated still need refrigerated as your not canning it but you are greatly extending the refrigerated shelf life at peak freshness by keeping the oxygen from the foods.Dry good in jars can be stored on the shelf.Its also handy for the hunter that processes their own game and the camo pattern on this one is sure to be a welcome gift to any hunter or a welcome addition to your own kitchen or camp.

For hunters or anyone who buys food in bulk and needs to seal smaller packages, this is a real time-saver compared to old-school packaging. I used to wrap all my venison in plastic wrap and then butcher paper – and in my opinion that is the most fool-proof way to package meat for long-term freezer storage, but the convenience of the vacuum sealer is head and shoulders above my old-school method.Overall this is an easy-to-use unit that has a faster-than-average vacuum function (i.e., it sucks the air out of the package faster and better than my previous unit). Red indicator lights on the top of the unit tell you when it’s finished and also when to vacuum/seal following sealing the first end of a package from a roll (versus the included prepared bags, which have already been sealed on one end). A really nice feature of this unit is the storage compartment for bag rolls and the built-in cutter for use when making custom sizes from the bag roll. Another nice feature is the attachment for vacuuming mason jars.My only complaint about this unit is that the foam gasket around the vacuum chamber seemed to get out of alignment, and then the bag ends wouldn’t sit properly in the vacuum chamber and the vacuum would not work. A few times I had to remove the mechanism and make sure the foam was seated properly all the way around the vacuum chamber – then I’d be good to go for a few more packages.I previously had a very basic vacuum sealer that lasted through two years’ worth of wild game harvesting before the heating element in the sealer died. This unit seems superior but time will tell.
