Makita is expanding the line of cordless outdoor power equipment to include the 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) LXT Brushless Cordless 21 in. Self-Propelled Lawn Mower (XML08PT1). With zero emissions, lower noise and reduced maintenance, the 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) LXT Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower is a welcome solution for efficient grass cutting. It’s powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries. The 4-bay battery system holds 4 batteries for twice the run time, but without leaving the 18-Volt battery platform. The Makita-built motor delivers up to 2,800 RPM. The Quiet Mode setting reduces noise by providing constant speed control at 2,300 RPM. It mows up to 1/2 an acre using 4 5.0 Ah 18-Volt LXT Batteries. The mower offers ease-of-use features including quick height adjustments, mulching capability, and a commercial-grade steel deck. It features a 3-in-1 design for mulching, bagging, or side discharge. The XML08PT1 includes the lawn mower, 4 fast-charging 18-Volt LXT lithium-ion 5.0 Ah batteries and an efficient 18-Volt Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. The lawn mower features Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt lithium-ion slide-style batteries.

This mower is amazing. I’ve tried almost all battery powered mowers during spring and summer of 2020. This was the last one I’ve purchased. I’ll be keeping this one. I’ve got a 4,900 sq ft yard to mow. I can get two full mows on one set of the 5ah batteries during the growing season on a very thick, well fed and manicured lawn. The package I got was with 4, 5ah batteries. More than plenty battery life for my normal cookie cutter home. The mower is solid. You can shake with thing and nothing moves. Over built in my book but that’s what I wanted and was looking for. It has a high price tag but worth every penny to me. Highly recommend. Also, this bags extremely well. I always bag it so I don’t use the mulch plug or side discharge but nice that it came with it. Charges very fast too. Maoist did a very nice job and well thought out.
