The Milwaukee blade design provides the straightest standout, reducing blade arc for efficient and accurate measuring. The tape measures are wear and impact-resistant with nylon bond blade protection and an additional anti-tear coating on the first 6 in. of the blade, reducing tape tear. Built to withstand the jobsite, the measuring tapes are constructed with a 5-point reinforced frame for impact resistance. The Milwaukee 16 ft. Compact Auto-Lock Tape Measures deliver up to 12 ft. of reach. The auto-lock design automatically locks the user’s blade in place for quick and efficient measuring. These tapes are equipped with wear resistant nylon blade protection and an Impact-resistant 5-point reinforced frame to withstand the jobsite. The tape blade also features a Fractional scale.

This tape has some really great features. The lock holds, the finger control and guard are nice, but what I really love is the large lettering on both sides. I would buy it again just for that!. I have had it less than a month, so can’t comment on durability, but it seems pretty sturdy. The reason I deducted 1 star is the claimed reach of 17′. 12′ sure. 14′ if very steady, but I could not get 17′

I love this tape! I always carried a Fatmax 16′ before this and liked it. Soon as I tried this tape I liked it much more than the fat max. I really like how it auto locks so you don’t have to try and lock the blade with the worthless blade lock like other tapes have. The only complaint I would say is, if the blade is only out 2″-5″ or so after a little use the tape does not “Auto lock” on those lower numbers. Not a big deal. Standout is also not that great. It’s not often you’re measuring something so high you can’t make it work. At least for me.
