It does not have a 14′ or 17′ standout. Maybe 12′ at most. Other than that, having measurements on both sides is really convenient. The only thing I could ask more of, is if it had the auto stop.

Originally bought the “wide” 16′ which is a very nice tape but didn’t stand up to our “abuse” lol. This seems bullet proof. Slightly heavier, but worth it to me. Very smooth and nice features. I would buy again.

This thing is a beast! Like you, we use tape measures all day and every day. Some are solid and some are light. This one is more than solid … it’s 14oz of beast-mode measuring tape. The engineers at Milwaukee have put everything they could think of in this and it shows. The tape is wide, stiff, easy to read and flexible. Archeologists are going to find this in a million years and wonder what kind of artifact it is … but it will still work. If you want great and don’t mind a little extra weight, this is the best of the best.
