The cordless impact driver is compatible with all Milwaukee M12 REDLITHIUM Compact Batteries or Extended Capacity Batteries, delivering users with more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack than competitive batteries. In addition to the M12 FUEL SURGE 1/4 in. Hex Hydraulic Driver, this kit includes two M12 REDLITHIUM CP2.0 batteries and a contractor bag.

I’ve been using this at work for a few weeks now and even the small batteries will last me most of a day driving 3″ in soft woods. Is it the most powerful tool on the planet, no but it gets the job done and my bags appreciate the smaller form factor and the lower weight. I have used both the M-12 and M-18 variants of this tool. Mostly for undercutting toe kicks, and door jambs. Having a cordless version can be handy at times, but for the length of cutting I need to do. The Corded Dremel multi-tool is much faster, more powerful, and quieter. Also, I feel like the Dremel has better ergonomics. The 1.5 battery is an absolute waste of time with this tool. However, if you’re gonna get a cordless multi-tool, this would be the one to get. It’s better than most. It just doesn’t keep up with corded versions
