RIDGID 14 Gal. 2-Stage Commercial Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum with Fine Dust Filter, Professional Hose and Accessories

My only commit is the attachments could be made a little better.They seem cheap and just plastic. how they connect to the hoseand the Vac could be improved some. but over all I think its agood value and works very well.

Haven’t had the vacuum long enough to give a through test, but I like the large hose, the quiet running motor and the good suction. Has the capacity I need for a small woodshop and will serve me well.

I hope this one lasts as long as the other one did. The other Ridgid lasted 12 years..

very lite weight once out of box. wheels and mounting feel cheap. have not got into heavy use yet. Lite pickup was fine. Had to put wheels on myself and was not expecting that. Did have life time warranty which is a good thing. We will see how this turns out with time.

My 12 year old Ridgid wet/dry vacuum is still going strong, but it is time for a replacement that I can keep permanently in my shop.I am glad to see that numerous improvements have been made over the years. The amperage has been increased by 15%, which should translate into an even bigger increase in power, yet the new vacuum is very much quieter than the old one.The handle and the bigger wheels make it a charm to move around. Moving the old model either required stooping down, picking it up or dragging it by the hose- which usually came loose! In the unlikely event that I need to drag this model, it has a hose lock.Beside the major reduction of noise, far less dust gets past the dual filters, so I will be really cleaning rather than just redistributing dust.The smaller diameter hose results in a higher velocity air flow so heavier scraps of metal will wind up in the vacuum and not remaining in the hose to fall out onto the floor as soon as the power is switched off.The accessory bag on the handle means that it will be much harder for me to misplace the attachments.I’m glad to see that so many useful improvements have been made and I’m confident that the new model will give me years of good service.

I wish there was more places to hold all the attachments. Otherwise it is nice.

Had a flooded basement of which I burned the motor out on my 12 gal 4.5 model of another shop vac. This new “wet-vac” was so easy and much easier to handle than the “old” one I had.

I bought this unit to hook up to my Dewalt orbital sander.After creating a personalized connection to the sander, this unit handled most of the dust created from sanding. The powerful suction gathered most if not all of the dust inside the handy bagging device inside the vac. The 20 foot cord is also very useful keeping the unit away from the work area. I also purchased an extension hose for it, which allows the unit to be kept at a distance.

This Ridgid commercial wet/dry vac is perfect for the shop! The 14 gallon size will mean fewer trips to empty and the drain position at the low point of the drum is a great feature to help with wet vac jobs. This is a very strong and sturdy vacuum. It comes with a number of accessories needed for just about any job called for. The push handle and large wheels are terrific for moving it about on the cart. Great addition to any shop and well worth the price! Shop clean up just got a lot easier !

I purchased this vacuum as it was reasonably priced for an EPA RRP compliant unit. It is easy to set up and use, with decent suction – though notably less than my standard Ridgid wet/dry vac. The operating volume of the vac is remarkably quiet as a nice bonus. On the downside, it uses a 1-7/8″ hose that flares to 2-1/2″ at the ends for connections and adapters. While it’s nice to have the large diameter and interchangeable standard attachment size hose ends, it allows chunks that are larger than will fit through the hose to be sucked up and frequently jam in the narrowed hose opening, requiring the hose to be removed and flipped around to suck the clogged debris from the attachment end by placing it into the suction hole. With a full size hose, this would be a much better performing machine, I would imagine.
