I can see what people are saying about them not being very sharp. They work well enough for my hobby stuff, though. They do not seem to make a true flat bottom, however. I still feel like they were a good deal, for a great starter set. I have used them on pine so far, and they held up okay, but could see them struggling through hardwoods.
