Removable adhesive strips (not included) are also a great option for mounting the laser cube. I used the laser to mark a grid pattern on a quilt. I had to elevate the laser it a tiny bit (used a wooden toothpick) then used a quilting ruler and Frixion pen to mark the grid.

The first one I bought didn’t work. I returned it to Home Depot and opened another at the Costomer Service desk and that one didn’t work. It turns out that the battery contacts are misplaced and need to be bent to make contact. I kept the 2nd one.
