Stanley FATMAX 16 ft. Autolock Tape Measure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was 1st surprised that my new FATMAX 16′ auto lock tape measure has the best gripping surface as many tape measures slip and or slide out of you hand/s while trying to do a job. The auto lock also surprised me in how well it works and you don’t have to fumble around trying to lock it when your hands are full. I do all sorts of jobs from aviation, to automotive to plumbing and wood working. I now have the best possible tape measure on the market with all the cool helpful features like belt clip and detachable hook. the standard Stanley yellow helps me locate it when it’s set down out of normal sight or amongst other tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tape. I’m a stickler for making sure my tools are made in America, and this one certainly fits the bill. It’s a quality tape. Doesn’t kink easily like a cheapo tape we’ve all had. It does it’s job. Only complaint would be that the extra tip it comes with is kind of a bear to put on, but it’s not needed at all. All in all a great addition to the toolbox.

If you don’t have one of these for those smaller jobs and cabinetry, I recommend getting one. Accurate to the user and flawless performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the tape but there is improvement to be made for this to be my EDC tape. This tape has a great stand-out without having a huge and bulky tape, 11 foot stand out, auto lock button is the best new function because you can turn it OFF or leave it on only when you need it. I like extra big hook for grabbing but I think it would be beter if it was not removable because there is no to little play in the tip you have push or pull the tip before you get your Measurements or you could be off. also the wings of the removable tip flex. this could also give a false measurement one last thing, the hook extends to top of the tape so without a measurement on the back side of the tape the hook not used to its true potential. I think if you make the hook perment and put a tape on both sides of the ribbon this would be the best EDC in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this tape a couple of weeks ago. I must say I’m very pleased with it. The auto lock feature it great and easy to use. It can also be used without the auto lock. My only complaint is it doesn’t have a magnet like some other brands but it’s definitely not a deal breaker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find the 16 ft tape a useful tool for the work I do. This tape fits comfortably in my hand and offers a lanyard connection integral to the case. The blade is stiff and stands up as advertised. The Auto Lock feature is one that I was never a necessity for me but now that i have it and could toggle it on or off, I like it alot. The tool is very solid and includes some mass to it without being a burden. The detachable hook is also a nice feature when I am attempting to measure the depth of a duct or structure up in the air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a couple 16′ tape measures that I used all the time but after using the Stanley fatmax the other ones sit in my toolbox collecting dust. The blade is nice and sturdy that I don’t have to walk to the other end to attach it to get a measurement.
