Swanson 4 in. Measuring Wheel with Extendable Handle

I got the Swanson compact retractable measuring wheel. It has a retractable  handle when fully collapsed it’s about20 in. long when fully extended 40 in. long, I am about 6’1″ and it’s comfortable for me when using it. I also like the it is compact enough to fit into most of the popular tool storage organizers, makes it easy to carry to the job site. It works great for figuring square footage of a yard, driveway, or even a roof when figuring material estimates. Would be a useful tool for a lot trades, or anyone with a honey do list.

I’m going to enjoy using my new Swanson measuring wheel. It has a 3 section retractable 40 inch handle. This feature makes it easy to store away or haul around. The distance is shown on a magnified easy to read display. It’s all mechanical, so no batteries to worry with. Resetting to zero just requires a push of the button. It is very acurate. My main use will be for marking out fence post settings. The model number is SWRT 3940.

Very handy little tool! Comfortable and easy to use, it rolls very smoothly across all sorts of terrain. It may require a little stooping if you are very tall (the handle only extends so far), and while the numbers are quite clear, you may still need to stoop or lift this off the ground to see your final figures. We’ll certainly get a lot of use out of this with landscaping and garden projects.

This Swanson 4 in. Measuring Wheel with Extendable Handle is a great tool for quick and accurate dimensional measurements around our house. In the garden, landscape, constructional projects or around the home, the 3 sectional telescoping handle works well, with numbers that are easy to read, reset and operate. The dual wheels are very stable on uneven ground and allows great support of the lighter weight of the measuring head!

Has many uses for anyone who needs to measure long distance areas such as for tile floor measurements and carpet measurements. It also can be used outdoors for any surface measurement. I used in a grassy Environment and it did wheel relatively easy and the measurement turned out accurate when compared to a tape measurement taken. The handle extends to make the measuring device easier to use. This is not a tool for most household but can be useful to certain types of contractors.
