Nice little sander for getting large cedar deck prepared for priming W/ kilz GRAY. THIS unit , using 60 & 80 grit , you do not need to use fine , finishing sandpaper on outdoor porches, stairs , decks , wasted effort, again nice unit , easy to use for ladies, if they want to contribute.Already earned it’s $ 23.00!I liked making my own sheets of paper from 3m sheets you cut into 3pcs.See my review on sanding sheets this item!

Perfect for small jobs, and you can cut & use regular sheets of sandpaper.

I really like the size and weight of this sander. I don’t have great arm strength and was afraid the weight would cause early fatigue, but the sander did all the hard work for me. I was able to sand a long table top and the seats and sides of 2 benches in just a few minutes. It took me longer to clean them than sand them. I tried sanding forward and backward over wood planks and in a circular motion over a larger flat surface and it worked fine both ways. It came with a dust collection bag that attached easily and so far stays on well while sanding. It didn’t catch all the sawdust and filled up fast. For a bigger project I’d try to hook up to my shop vac or just take it outside. It came with a 1/3 sheet of 80 grit sandpaper, 4 holes along each side that match up to dust collecting holes on sanding pad. I made a cardboard template using the enclosed sheet so I could make my own 1/3 sheets out of bigger sheets of fine grit sandpaper. The hole diameters are the same as those of notebook paper. You can use the Velcro backed sandpaper, but there are clips along each side for clip on method, too. The on/off switch doesn’t have a dust cover. I’ll have to come up with a homemade fix for that. Power cord is 2 prong. On a side note, Wen tools come from Great Lakes Technologies. I was contacted by one of their staff for a concern I had expressed to SEEDS. He was professional, friendly, receptive, and solved my problem. Good customer service. Don’t know how long sander will last as have owned a short time.

I’ve had a 1/4 sheet sander that I picked up in a garage sale a couple of decades ago. It does the job, but poorly. The paper often tears before it wears out. It is very noisy.This unit is an eye opener for me, it is light, powerful and almost quiet. It works fast and is a pleasure to use.The hook and loop pads cost a bit more than sheet abrasives, but they last longer. I’m converted!The built in dust catcher is not very effective, trapping only a small fraction of the generated dust, but anything is better than nothing.

Good sander for those small/medium size projects. Power level is good and you get the option of Velcro attachment or clamping on cut sheets. (my preference is cut sheets since it’s cheaper) I also really appreciate this comes with a dust collection bag, nice touch.

The sander performed as expected and seems to be holding up very well.

This sander is good for sanding many things around your house. I used it for sanding varnish off of wood trim and sanding off old paint. It is so easy to change the grit of the sandpaper. I went and got the multi-grit package of sandpaper that includes 50, 80, 100 and 120. I used the 50 to rough sand wood that was stained and then used 80 to clean it up a little more. I will use the 100 and 120 to smooth sand it before finishing the wood. Changing the paper is easy. This sander also gives you the option to use 1/3 page sandpaper that can be clamped on with the mechanism built into the unit. That makes it very versatile. It also includes a vac bag to collect dust as you go. The unit is perfect for so many jobs. After hours of sanding, it works just like it was brand new. It is a good size and weight so that your hand doesn’t tire out.
