West Bend 5 qt. Blue Non-Stick Versatility Slow Cooker with 5-Temperature Settings Includes Travel Lid and Thermal Tote

Have owned several West Bend slow cookers! This is the same dependability that the others have proven. However I wish they had a better inside surface that doesn’t chip off. That’s the only reason I replace them!

I bought this slow cooker in Dec 2019. I had had a Westbend slow cooker like this in the 80s or 90s and I loved it. It is not heavy like other slow cookers, and I find that it cooks better and the temperatures are more controllable than the crock pot type slow cookers. I also like that I can brown something in the pot on the stove first, then put it directly on the slow cooker base. But one day, I was happily cooking away with it one day when all of sudden I heard a very loud “clack”. I swung around to see that the base of the slow cooker had cracked clear through the name on the front. There is still something inside holding it together, and it still cooks fine, but the crack was and is a bit disconcerting. Makes me a little worried that I shouldn’t leave it on when I am not home or am asleep. My first one never did this and I had it for years. I still recommend the cooking system on this unit, but the base design apparently needs to be improved to better tolerate the heat that it produces.

I love this slow cooker! It cooks great and I love the red color.

i have one of these for many years. Good size, lightweight. I bought this one for my 90 yr old mom who lives alone. Easy for her tomove the pot whe leaving the baze on the counter. She appreciated the recipe book too.

Brought this 2 weeks ago. Really love the color and the new base design. The base seems to be a little easier to move around. The pan seems a little heavier as I have three of the later model ones. I use them in my campers and at home. Was able to hand down one of mine to my 17 yr old grandson who says he loves that it is so simple to operate.

I bought this for my wife because our old is wearing out. She wanted a slow cooker the crock liner. She hasn’t used it yet but was very happy with it.

Love all the parts to the unit – the base, the crockpot with lid and then a storage lid with a carrying case to boot. All I could ask for.

This cooker works great! Can cook a variety of recipes.
