Exactly what was described. The measuring rod comes with a large sticker that is just about impossible to remove. I tried scrapping and a hot air gun to soften it. Didn’t work. Then I had the bright idea to try Goof-Off. It worked too good. Removed the sticker AND the lettering on the measuring rod. Let’s just say that I’m gonna have to make some adjustments if I want to measure anything between 2-3 feet in elevation. Don’t do what I did.

Cant beat this package. Everything you need to “shoot” grade.Have been using for more than a year now. I take really good care of it and don’t beat it up! Keep extra batteries handy and you should be real pleased it’s performance. Accuracy +/- 1/4″ @100′. I have set this up in the middle of 1 acre parcel and shot elevations over the whole property in bright daylight.

I have used similar tools of this type before and needed to own one. I was very satisfied with this product for the price. Came with everything you need to shoot grades and leveling. I have installed septic drainfield, leveled a 60 x 60 shop pad as well as a 40×40 garage pad. It has performed well and still working great. It easily reads 100ft away in bright daylight(+/- 1/4″). I am very careful with it as it is not as robust as $1000 models but for occasional use, DIY stuff, I have been pleased with the value. It has more features than I have even been able to use yet. I am building a home and will be using it for the next several years.
