KitchenAid 12-Cup Onyx Black Drip Coffee Maker with Spiral Showerhead

Received the coffee maker as a present….one of the best coffee makers I have had over the years…unfortunately the carafe broke and the replacement carafes have been out of stock for almost 6 months now. Very disappointed in Kitchenaid….all of the kitchen appliances, both major and countertop, are Kitchenaid and this is the 1st issue we have had.

It took a rocket scientist to just set the clock but whoever came up with the features of my new Kitchenaid coffee maker with the spiral showerhead knew what they were doing! Every button was thoughtfully placed and easy to use. I can’t even believe the difference in the flavor of the coffee and I know the spiral showerhead had something to do with that because it makes sure every bit of the coffee grounds get soaked. This is the coffee maker you’ve been looking for!

Well packed, clear instructions. Easy to put into service, and improved over 5-years-ago model.Happy camper here. Would definitely recommend.

Looks GOOD, on counter, coffee is not hot but does have a nice strong flavor. Would have preferred a metal heating plate that pot sits on. Love the way pot is made very durable. Worth the extra money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so anxious to try this coffee maker because I was impressed with what I read about it. I drink coffee all day long and this coffee maker makes a great cup of coffee. It has a dosage mark on the water tank to insure you get the perfect flavored cup of coffee. Another great feature is the variable brew strength selector it lets you choose between regular and bold strengths, it also has a timer in which it allows you to set for the desired time in which you would like it to start to brew the coffee for whenever you want your coffee to be ready for you which is an excellent feature because it saves me a lot of time in the morning not having to run to the store to buy a cup of coffee is great and it also saves me money that I would have spent buying coffee each morning before work. I am really impressed with this coffee maker it was a great investment.

At first glance it seems like it would be intimidating, but it is very simple to work all of the features. The quality of the heating plate, the tank, and nice grip on the pot…all of the little touches add up to a high quality product. Working from home, having this product available gives me all the coffee I need to make it through those long days!

Feels like solidly build from quality materials. Makes a great coffee.2. Short falling from my old Kitchen aid 14 cup.You can not get it in Red color that become a signature/accent color in my kitchen with a number of KitchenAid appliances..Machine is elongated. So, it is seating under cabinet sideways. Yet- “brew” button is strangely not on same side as main controls. You can’t easily reach/see it.On old machine brewing compartment opens sideways, but new one is opens “up”.That means that in order to prepare fresh batch you have to pull whole machine from under cabinets.New water tank feels flimsy. Its handle looks like it will not last for long time. There is no more built in water filter, so if you need this feature – look elsewhere.
