This Laser( Disto E7500I) work great. If you know anything about lasers 99% of them do not work in bright day light. Leica is the only company where they have a few models to choose from that will work in bright day light.I have had mine for a year and the first thing I did when I got it was test it it bright day light in July. One of the men I work with walked out with the measuring wheel to a distance only known by him. I turned the Laser on Long Range mode and then turn on the point finder and then I measured 385 ft in the bright summer sun light where my measurement was spot on. I had no problem reading the screen and the bluetooth mode works amazing with my iphone 6plus and samsung galaxy note 4. who ever said it does not work with the bluetooth needs to learn how to read the directions. This tool is not cheap but you get what you pay for.the only thing I wish I did was buy the next model up which has the built in camera. so if anyone wants to buy this one from me which is used and in excellent condition so I can purchase the more expensive model with the built in camera please check craigslist. Other wise I would not part with this tool. I measure things all day long outside with machines(backhoe, pay loader etc) people and traffic in the way. It has saved me time, aggravation, as well as not getting hit by a car having to measure something in the middle of the street
the how to use instructions are terrible still trying to figure out how to work this device. Its not user friendly. This has nothing to do with Home Depot. It’s on the manufacturer.
Are there any utub movies on how to work the all of it, I’m appraiser and believe it will help out a lot during the winter snow falls,
I am an appraiser and this is so fast and accurate! With an iphone Xs Max it is the only way to work
You don’t have to see the dot..That is the whole point of the zoom lens camera.Ok, so the user manual isn’t great, but what did you think the blue button with the camera icon on it is for? Selfies?I’m an appraiser and I use mine with a software package called A la Mode. They swear by the Disto as it sends measurements into the program using Bluetooth. The one thing is you have to connect through the app, not through settings which is weird…so maybe that is why the other reviewer thought it didn’t work with his iPhone.
