I love the textured grip as it allows you to keep a sturdy grip while working, even if your hands are wet.The mallet head has the Ridgid logo and 16 OZ engraved on the side, which looks amazing, and the Polly body will last forever. Received the 16 oz. Rubber Mallet last week. I found the rubber mallet does not leave any type of marks on any thing that I have used for so far. Very happy with this product, the handle is designed to get a firm grip on it, there is no bounce once you have hit what ever that you may be using it for. I have found the one pound rubber hammer to be the best weight to use on just about any project that you are working on. I would recommend this product.
