RIDGID introduces the 18-Volt Cordless Flood Light with Detachable Light with 1.5 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery. This light comes with a light cradle to direct the light where its needed. It can also be removed from the cradle to direct light into tight spaces. It puts out a powerful 1200 Lumens. On its lowest setting it can run up to 20 hours on a single 5.0 Ah battery charge (not included). Backed by the RIDGID Industry Leading Lifetime Service Agreement, the 18-Volt Cordless Flood Light with Detachable Light includes an operator’s manual. The included 18-Volt 1.5 Ah Compact Lithium-Ion Battery is equipped with an on board fuel gauge, increased temperature range for powering tools and improved run time. The battery produces industry leading performance in run time, recharges and extreme weather performance. Backed by the RIDGID 3-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty, the 18-Volt 1.5 Ah Compact Lithium-Ion Battery includes an operator’s manual. Charger not included.

Lifetime service is great if you jump through the hoops. I purchased my Ridgid drill 11-9-03. Back then you didn’t have to register it as long as you had the receipt. Over the years, have had it worked on twice and the batteries replaced 3 times. Just took it in for batteries and was told they would no longer honor the warranty because part of the serial number had worn off the drill. That was my fault for not writing it down anywhere before. Everyone please learn from this. Write your serial number down in a separate place. Also, they told me that when I receive the new batteries back for my other tools, I need to contact Ridgid and get them to update the new serial numbers on the new batteries or the Lifetime contract on the batteries wouldn’t be any good. All of my tools are Ridgid and am pleased so far with the lifetime service. Have got my money’s worth so am happy.

The batteries are lifetime warranty, some reviews say that they don’t but the warranty that I received Does say lifetime warranty on the batteries. I went to the HD in my area and the sales rep from Ridged was there and he also mentioned that the batteries do come with lifetime warranties.

YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO TAKE YOUR BATTERIES TO HOME DEPOT FOR AN EXCHANGE UNDER THE LSA. IF THEY DON’T HAVE YOUR REPLACEMENT IN STOCK, RIDGID WILL DROP SHIP A NEW ONE TO YOUR HOUSE!So I bought a drill with two batteries, one skinny & one fat (1,400mAh & 3,000 mAh, respectively). They both went bad after about two years of intermediate use, but that’s no surprise. I took them to the service center and waited 6 weeks for the new ones. I received a follow up call from Ridgid to ask if i was happy with the service center; I said sure, except I waited 6 weeks for them. The representative responded, we shipped your replacement batteries to the repair center 5 days after you dropped them off. In short, it took me calling the service center 5x before they found it.When I was ‘discussing’ the situation, the representative said Ridgid and HD now allow you to do the exchange IN THE STORE. just take it to the tool service / rentals desk and they will take care of you…no more waiting months to get your batteries back, making the LSA actually worth while!!!!
