RYOBI Reconditioned 4-Cycle 30cc Attachment Capable Straight Shaft Gas Trimmer

Man am glad I jumped on this when available. This feels so much more solid than a 2 stroke. Plus I don’t have to run it at mind numbing speed to trim. Just kick it up to a nice gentle rumble and it tears through the trimming without blowing through trim line. 30 days in, starts with a couple of pulls. Good Purchase.

The gas trimmer works great. 2 pulls and it starts every time. It works with all my Ryobi attachments and saved me quite a bit of money over buying a new one.

It runs but sometimes smokes a lot. I should’ve bought an Echo. I have an older echo blower and it is 20 years old and runs superbly; same carburetor and never had to clean it or change fuel lines. Only thing I’ve changed on the Echo is the spark plug. On the other hand I have an older Ryobi (line trimmer) and it runs well but the gas tank and fuel lines leak; changed the fuel lines (and the primer bulb) but they’re a slightly smaller diameter so the fuel still leaks. The gas tank is integral to the housing. I sealed it with Permatex. I’ll keep it as a backup.We’ll see how long the current Ryobi runs. It handles fine. I like the ability to attach accessories. If it didn’t smoke occasionally I’d give it 5 stars. I’ll keep it.

The spool was difficult to assemble because the threads were damaged on the adapter. I had to remove the adapter and re-thread the hole before I could mount the spool. I was disappointed with that operation. However, the trimmer started up nicely and seems to run well.

I like the product, but it has an oil leak. For the price, I’ll tolerate it. Be sure to run the gas out of it before you store it for the winter.

This is really good deal it perform very good

Have purchased and used this trimmer in the past. Wanted to have a spare available. Really like the Expand-it components.

This trimmer is awesome. Fast starting and enough power to do the job. Wife and son got me this trimmer for father’s day because two of my trimmers died the same day. Once again this is a very good trimmer
