Wiss 9-1/2 in. Compact Cutter for Soft Cable

Purchased this item for work, and was at a great value compared to all the other brands on the shelf. I informed my co-workers of the price and were surprised of the value. I’ve used this daily since my purchase, and it cuts large cables very well. It’s new & sharp, so it was expected to cut well. I’m sure with good up-keep, this will last as long as any other brand.

Haven’t used them yet but feel great.

I have been searching for a pair of these that was affordable and of good quality and this is it. Was very impressed with how well they work. I would recommend this cable cutter to anyone.

Tool worked as expected – cut a lot of wire over the past month and it still has a good cutting edge on it.

cuts well just wish jaws would open wide without widening handles way out.

Works perfect

I needed cutters to clean cut a 1/4 inch stainless steel cable. The Home Depot employee recommended this tool for my application. Unfortunately, the cutters were not able to cut a 1/4 diameter. Bolt cutters did not work either. I ended up using a chisel, but the cut flattened and frayed the cable some. I think the cutters are just not designed for stainless steel at 1/4 inch. They work fine on smaller diameters.

Easily Cut cables and heavy wire

They cut ok. The handles and gris just are not comfortable to use all day

Looks to be an adequate tool for my purposes, which is to but welding cable for use as battery cables. It won’t receive a lot of use so I didn’t need to go top of the line. Blades are sharp and I don’t force any twisting at the pivot which renders any cutter worthless.
